WSK Aged Cumin Kaas is inspired by the traditional cheese of the town of Leyden in Netherlands. Similar to Gouda and aged with whole cumin seeds it has a natural outer rind and smooth, dense interior texture.
Flavors: Rich and complex, reminiscent of 24–36-month-old dairy versions, salty, sharp, with notes of caramel, cultured butter, and the background pop of cumin throughout.
Pairing Suggestions:
Ripe stone fruit, berries, dark bread, hearty seeded crackers, tapenades, vegan cured meat alternatives, or as an ingredient in pasta or sandwiches. Medium-bodied wines such as Shiraz, Grenache, Barbera, or Riesling whites, and of course craft beers are all friends with this cheese!
